Aldora Mills/Continental Tire facility has been a corporate partner in Barnesville/Lamar County since its establishment in 1931 and continues to be a significant part of the economic picture of the community and the region. The Aldora Mills/Continental Tire facility produces tire cord fabric for use in the manufacture of a wide array of vehicle tire. Tire cord fabric produces includes polyester, nylon, aramid, aralon and fiberglass. Production capacity at the Aldora Mills/Continental Tire facility is in excess of 60,000,000 pounds with manufacturing operations including twisting, weaving and processing.
