The Junior Police Program was designed to foster a good relationship between children and the Police Department. A program once a month is presented to 3rd grade students by the Police Department. All members of the Police Department participate in teaching the kids on different topics.
The program focuses on drug awaremess, crime prevention, gun safety, good touch-bad touch and how to handle stress and conflict. At the end of the school year the students are sworn in as Offical Junior Police Officers by the Honorable Judge Franklin Freeman.
