Welcome to our home, Barnesville, Georgia. Barnesville is located in the heart of central Georgia, just 55 miles south of Atlanta and 35 miles north of Macon. This allows residents, businesses and industries to enjoy the tranquility of small town life coupled with major conveniences such as an international airport and professional sports complexes within an hour drive.

Known as the "Buggy Capital of the South", Barnesville is rich with history and heritage. Each fall, Barnesville pays tribute to this heritage with the Barnesville Buggy Days Festival. The festival has been featured as a Top 20 event in the Southeast. More than 150 artists, craft persons and vendors sell their wares on Main Street. Original buggies, some built in Barnesville in the 1800's, are on display throughout the town.

While we value the heritage that has made Barnesville what it is today, we understand that the key to Barnesville's success is growing its economic base. Success is measured in various different ways. We measure success in the quality of life of our residents. Attracting strong socially conscious industry will provide needed investments in our socio-economic structure.
